Failed Leadership • Incompetence • Loss of Trust

Enough is Enough

We are a community of concerned citizens committed to the East End.

We strongly believe in the accountability from our public officials and are outraged by the failed leadership from the East Hampton Town Board.

We demand leadership, accountability and reasonable solutions that benefit everyone in the East End.

Don’t let them get away with it!

We’ve drafted a letter for you to send to the Town Baord. Let them know it’s time for better leadership!

Town Board Members,

Trust between East Hampton residents and the Town Board has been shattered. We elected you to serve our community. Instead, you have cost taxpayers MILLIONS to advance a scheme that serves only yourselves and your special interests.

First, you tried to illegally close and privatize the East Hampton Airport – even though 77% of East Hampton residents want it open. Your scheme has cost local taxpayers more than $2.5 million.

Then you deliberately lied to the FAA, all to advance your privatization scheme. Your plan will mean more cars and traffic on our streets, more headaches in our communities, and higher taxes for everyone.

Then you embarrassed all of us when a judge held you in contempt over Truck Beach. He called you “deliberately disobedient” - sticking taxpayers with another $239,000 fine, plus another $570,000 in wasted legal fees to the other side. The town paid millions in taxpayer dollars…to lose.

And all along, residents in the Springs don’t have cell towers - cut off from 9-1-1 emergency cell service - because of your failed leadership.

Now, we hear you’re trying to shut down small businesses that are still struggling to recover post-pandemic? Enough is enough.

East Hampton Town Board is incompetent and costing us millions.

We want answers. Who is the Town Board really working for? Not the residents of East Hampton.

As a concerned resident, I demand accountability, solutions, and good faith from our leadership.

Sincerely,

Outraged Citizens of East Hampton

Dig into the Deceit

Illegal & Incompetent

East Hampton Town Board lied. Now the airport could be closed forever. Their privatization scheme is unfair, illegal, and incompetent.

More Traffic & More Noise

“It’s going to be a zoo.” Closing HTO will just mean more of everything else: car traffic, sea planes, heli pads. More noise. More congestion. Worse air quality. Worsening quality of life.

Jobless & Stranded

The East Hampton Town Board lied. Their privatization scheme to close the airport might violate the law and keep the airport from ever opening again, costing us jobs and leaving us stranded in emergencies.

Against our Will

77% of East Hampton does not want the airport to close. So why did the East Hampton Town Board push its privatization scheme against our collective wishes?

Reckless & Disasterous

“East Hampton Town’s…plan...is misguided, reckless and will ultimately prove disastrous for the surrounding communities.” - Eastern Region Helicopter Council

Cut Off & Abandoned

There is no plan to provide emergency services for residents, leaving many East End communities abandoned at the worst possible time.

Don’t let them get away with it!

Tell the Town Board you want better leadership!
